Job Description
Successful candidates are required to:
– Sell delegate places across a number of international conferences
– Meet and exceed sales activity targets
– New business – contacting new leads from competitors and other sources
– Liaise effectively with all internal departments

Previous B2B sales experience is advantageous! This can be anything from previous recruitment experience to working in a call centre selling insurance. You need to have excellent communication skills and a real hunger to earn money.

Ideal candidates should have a degree or equivalent with some sales experience but wants something with a bit more. You should be ambitious, articulate, and able to understand new market sectors quickly.

You will need to be comfortable on the phone and smart enough to understand the current business issues facing a wide range of different companies. Obviously you should have a keen interest in selling internationally, with a focus on the APAC, Middle Eastern and Eastern Europe market.

You’ll get to know hundreds of senior level executives from the biggest companies globally, build relationships with them, get to know their industry almost as well as they do and of course work with them to develop high-level Summits for their industry.

The role of a Conference Producer is as stimulating as it is demanding. Our producers are the engine that drives our research methodology into a commercially successful event. With primary responsibility for quality and on-time delivery – this role suits those who regard attention to detail and on-time delivery as a way of life.

The role of a conference producer includes researching, creating and executing world class B2B conferences/workshops. Key parts of the role include:

Research via phone with executives in some of the world largest (I.e., FTSE 100) and most innovative companies to obtain detailed insight as to what the sub-industry needs to learn
Write detailed, commercial, technical or strategic agenda capturing exactly what the sub-industry wants to learn
Pitch, invite and confirm executive level speakers from the leading companies / consultancies within the sub industry
Help create the sales and marketing support strategy to drive revenue on your project
Lead and execute the event on the day

Requirements:
Be an exceptional listener and verbal communicator
Naturally create rapport both in person and over the phone
Have a competency for copy writing
Possess a thirst for knowledge and keen interest in current affairs
Be self motivated and ambitious
Have a strong commercial instinct and drive
An ability to work to tight deadlines
Possess 2 – 3 years commercial experience and be degree qualified
Computer literate with MS Excel, MS Word skills

Prior experience in Conference Production will be well regarded, however candidates with a back ground in journalism or another research based role are also encouraged to apply.
